Know the model codes to get the best price

It’s imperative to do as much research as possible before investing in a Submariner. In fact, a single digit in the model code can make the difference between a £7,000 and £15,000 watch. For that reason, we strongly advise that the buyer checks the prices of a specific model with as many pre-owned watch specialist websites as possible. A range of new Rolex Submariners

In 2020 Rolex released a new Submariner range using model codes 1266nn(xx). Naturally, demand for these new models is high and prices for new full set versions can be more than double the official Rolex price. One of those on the “most wanted” lists of many watch collectors is the 126610LV. Featuring an Oystersteel case, black dial and a distinctly deeper green dive bezel. Accordingly, this new green model has already inherited the nickname of the NEW Kermit. Technically, changes have also been made to the introduction of Calibre 3235 by Rolex – providing 70 hours of power reserve.

Newer models (since 2008) have been certified to 300m (1220ft) water resistancy.  To look great for years they also feature Rolex’s patented Cerachrom bezels – an incredibly tough ceramic substance that should outlast and outshine more traditional materials.
