A short history of the Submersible Diver’s watch
Officine Panerai produced their first Diver’s Watch back in 1956 – that one was a beastly 60 mm wide. Originally designed for the Egyptian Navy the style of that competent submersible timepiece can still be seen in today’s watch. Panerai’s years of experience working with global Navies demands the use of only the very latest modern materials such as the AISI 316L steel used in today’s Submersible watch range.
