DOXA Army Watch – limited to 100

It was around 1972 that the DOXA Army Diver’s Watch was born. 50 years on and it’s back. A watch that celebrates DOXA’s history working with the Swiss Army’s elite divers. A very limited edition reissue of this famous model. The DOXA Army is a watch of iconic status that has become an instantly recognizable cult classic professional diver’s timepiece.

DOXA Army from Watches of Switzerland

The DOXA Army occupies a special place in the brand’s history not only because of its connection with the Swiss Army. The DOXA Army was one of the first watches to use an innovative coating process for cases that gave the watch a matte black finish. This stealthy coating prevented any glare, a key criterion for military equipment. This effect is maintained in the new reissue with the choice of matte black ceramic case.

The DOXA Army reflects the company’s innovative spirit in the development of diving instruments. DOXA worked closely with the “Aqua-Lung” co-inventor Captain Jacques Cousteau and his team aboard the Calypso developing their range of professional diver’s watches. Monsieur Cousteau praised the patented no-decompression dive bezel introduced with the first SUB models.

DOXA Army Divers Watch with camoflague case

Each watch comes in a striking Camoflague case designed specifically for this edition. The actual pattern is the same as that used by the Swiss Army at the time the watch was first issued. The box also includes two straps: one made from black FKM rubber and one NATO strap with a camouflage pattern.

Today, more than 50 years after its debut, DOXA and its Anglo-American partner Watches of Switzerland are reissuing the DOXA Army in a very small Limited Edition of only 100 pieces.
