Casio G-Shock FROGMAN divers watch

If there’s no dive timer it’s not a Frogman

Introduced in 1993 the Frogman series all feature one specific function – a DIVE TIMER. It’s a huge range that covers more than a dozen model numbers – each with several versions (colours etc). Original Frogman from 1993 have the model number DW-6300-n(x) eg the Casio DW-6300-1A. Those models were an all digital affair with no analogue hands.

Casio GWF-A1000 series – Frogman with HANDS !

From the current range we have the Casio G-Shock GWF-A1000 series. The A1000 models are available in several colours and all feature anologue only display dials (as shown below). For the purist – there is also the GWF-D1000. With it’s ALL DIGITAL display it has more in common with the original 1993 model. The opinion on this move from digital to analogue is mized. Yes, it looks good, but is it fit for purpose eg. could it be used to time and record a dive? Thankfully, the customer still has the choice, unfortunately there are more analogue models and just a couple of digital variants.
